MyNicheComputing was designed to encourage open discussion and viewpoints of the occurring
transformation in teaching, learning, information production and dissemination. These next
few decades will produce futures we can only begin to glimpse. Toffler's 1970's book Future
Shock sounded a clarion call to be wary of information overload. The computer is the tool
that has changed the face of information production, storage, and transmission. The Internet
has magnified that change by at least 100 MIPS. In coping with this huge amount of change
humans have a tendency to identify a Range of Use of Computing and live within the comfort of
that use.
